About NHHW

A national moment to shine a light on this essential work.

National Healthcare Hospitality Week has been observed annually since 1997. Each year, HHN member houses across the country participate through local events, social media campaigns, community outreach, and storytelling that brings the healthcare hospitality mission to life for donors, hospital partners, and the broader public.

The week is an opportunity for houses to celebrate their teams, honor their guests, and remind their communities why this work matters. It's also a chance for the broader HHN network to speak with one voice about the healthcare hospitality imperative.

2026 Celebration

NHHW 2026 details are coming in May.

Planning for National Healthcare Hospitality Week 2026 is underway. Details including the theme, dates, and member toolkit will be shared with HHN members first when they're ready.

HHN members get the toolkit first. Each year, HHN provides member houses with a ready-to-use toolkit including social media graphics, proclamation templates, press release templates, and campaign resources. Members receive everything they need to celebrate NHHW in their communities. Not a member? Learn about joining HHN.

Why it matters

What NHHW makes possible

Community visibility

NHHW gives member houses a dedicated moment to raise awareness in their local communities, reaching donors, hospital partners, and potential guests who may not yet know they exist.

National amplification

When member houses across the country celebrate together, the message is louder. HHN coordinates a national social media campaign so individual house voices add up to something much bigger.

Advocacy in action

Proclamations, press releases, and community events during NHHW help make the case that healthcare hospitality is a necessity, not an amenity, in every community that has a house.
